Greg Giraldo Biography

Socially provocative yet broadly funny, Greg Giraldo was one of the most versatile and entertaining comedians of our day.

Greg was a leading comic who was consistently featured on Comedy Central and became one of the faces of the network. He appeared on Comedy Central's "Root Of All Evil" and "The Gong Show," was a regular panelist on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," and starred in a half-hour comedy special, "Comedy Central Presents: Greg Giraldo" and one-hour special "Midlife Vices." Along with numerous appearances on "Last Laugh" and hosting "Friday Night Stand-up" for the network, Greg was best known for being the top roaster for Comedy Central Roasts. He roasted such celebrities as Larry the Cable Guy, Bob Saget, William Shatner, Flavor Flav, Pamela Anderson, Joan Rivers and David Hasselhoff.

Greg appeared on late night TV more than most comedians. He regularly contributed a "rant" segment to "Last Call with Carson Daly," where he provided his unique spin on current events, politics and family life. Greg also performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and was a guest on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" a dozen times. In addition, Greg served as a judge on the seventh season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing."

The comedy world mourned the loss of the great Greg Giraldo on September 29, 2010. He will be missed.
