Paul Mecurio

Paul has won an Emmy and a Peabody Award for his work on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." He also is the warm-up comedian for The Daily Show. A national headliner in clubs across North America and in Europe, Paul has performed at the prestigious "Just For Laughs Comedy Festival" in Montreal and has made numerous television appearances including his own Half Hour Comedy Central Special, "The Late, Late Show" on CBS, "The Daily Show," ABC's "Wednesdays at 9:30," as a political satirist on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News, "Tough Crowd w/ Colin Quinn," "Shorties Watching Shorties," NBC's "Late Fridays," VH-1, and many others.

Paul has shot a television pilot "Sports Central," in which he stars, co-created and executive produced. Using a news format, "Sports Central" is a funny, smart look at the controversial off-the-field issues and player behavior plaguing sports. Paul is a regular contributor to the nationally syndicated, "The Bob and Tom Radio Show" in a segment called "The Image Makeover Guy," Paul gives tongue-in-cheek image advice to people who have sullied their image in the press. He's also had his own special, "Mecurio's Mob Rule," on Sirius Satellite Radio and appears regularly on Sirius.

Paul's short film, "Gloves," an off-center dark comedy has been screened at several prestigious film festivals including "HBO's Aspen Comedy Arts Festival," "The Toronto Film Festival," "The Los Angeles Independent Film Festival" and "The San Sebastian Film Festival" in Spain.
